The challenging climate facing outbound call centres in the UK has received yet another blow. With increasing numbers of BT customers signing up to the BT Privacy product, the available pool of consumers that are willing to receive cold calls is shrinking at an alarming rate. This is making it all the more difficult to achieve return on investment from an outbound calling campaign.
In line with its decision to withdraw from the outbound call centre marketplace, communications specialist Direct Response has launched an alternative, available to businesses that require an effective method of reaching out to a warm audience. Direct Response Broadcast is a telephony based application that allows the user to ’broadcast’ predefined messages to a list of names and telephone numbers. The messages can have several possible outcomes, such as gaining the recipients interest and only then patching the call through to a live agent, ensuring that your costly human resources spend their time talking to interested customers rather than people who just slam down the phone.
