Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) is experiencing "worldwide acceptance", it has today been claimed. News source TMCnet has published an article outlining the strengths of VoIP and how it is changing the telecoms industry. The business telecoms tool benefits from features such as three-way dialling, return call, call transfer and call waiting. Low rates for long-distance business calls are noted as a key reason for a popularity surge in the online telecoms utility. The news source claims businesses are "adopting VoIP to increase the productivity of their organisation". An ability to "stay connected at work or at home" through a VoIP network is also stated as a factor behind the success of the service. Meanwhile, i2 Telecom has revealed it is launching a telecoms package for Blackberry and Windows Mobile customers. The MyGlobalTalk service will allow users to make cheaper, long-distance calls through an IP voice provider, i2 Telecom claims.
