Businesses could use VoIP to cut their telecoms outlay, it has been claimed. Peter Readman, director of ttMobiles, said that this service can be implemented through a firm's own network or via a specialised system. He commented that VoIP represents a key part of the "absolute lowest cost solutions" when it comes to telecoms. Mr Readman added: "For general use the best approach is to consolidate all your phones into one deal, and find a supplier who can be trusted to offer good advice and backup. If you have a large number of phones, consider hiring an independent consultant to get unbiased best practise." He also said that the nature of a business will determine the kind of telecoms service it requires. Recently, research by ttMobiles found that companies could be hit in the pocket to the tune of £1 billion per year by improper telecoms use by employees, which could include workers making personal calls.
