An insurance company has announced a new call centre recruitment scheme. Swinton Insurance is taking on 60 new permanent, full-time workers at its consumer care complex in Halifax. Dean Fellows, operations manager for the company's Halifax call centre, suggested that the news could fill jobseekers with a little festive cheer. He explained: "We are hoping to fill 60 new positions, which would be perfect for people looking for work in the run-up to Christmas." The jobs will come at the Hebble Business Park facility, which is located in the Mixenden area of Halifax. Swinton Insurance will hold a recruitment day on November 16th at the Imperial Crown Hotel at which potential call centre agents should attend. At present there are 136 people working at the call centre. Meanwhile, Britannia has recently announced plans to open ten new call centres in the UK, employing and training as many as 10,000 people.
