The economic downturn has affected the inbound contact routing systems market. This is according to a study by Frost and Sullivan on the sector in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). It is stated in the report that the market grew by six per cent in the first half of 2008, however, the recession saw a slowing of this growth. According to the report, the sector earned 478.3 million (£429 million) last year and estimates it will hit 711.5 million by 2015. Joe Outlaw, principal analyst for Frost and Sullivan, said: "The continuing migration to support internet protocol transport, customer loyalty, and strengthened competitive advantages from strong customer support drove sales of new and expanded inbound contact routing systems throughout the year." He added that the financial services, outsourcers and telecoms firms were the largest customers of inbound contact routing systems in 2008 through EMEA. Frost and Sullivan has 45 years of experience working with global 1000 companies and operates out of 40 offices around the world.
