The latest telecoms equipment is set to become a widespread feature in the mobile phone market, it has been claimed. Mickael Remond, chief executive officer for ProcessOne, stated instant messaging (IM) services will soon be part of the "standard stack" within the mobile telecommunications market. The technology, which could help home-based call centre workers remain in touch with bosses, can be accessed through implementing a specialised client on handsets such as the iPhone. Mr Redmond went on to say use of the telecoms equipment could be monitored through a company IT department. He added: "It means that you can make sure everything is compliant with legal requirements, such as monitoring the data flowing through a third party, if you have security that rely on a code." Despite the growth of IM, text messaging is set to continue to grow, with around 233 billion to be sent by the end of 2013, according to figures from Forrester Research.
