Businesses are set to benefit from virtualisation this year, an expert has claimed. Neil Barton, director of Hostway, said that many firms deployed this technology in 2009 and this trend looks set to continue in 2010. He commented: "Moving into 2010, we will see more companies looking towards hosted server virtualisation. "This will allow systems to become both leaner and more resilient, without breaking the bank or requiring a significant investment in time or training from the in-house team." Mr Barton explained that the use of a hosted virtualised server could allow companies to move into virtualisation without the worry about IT development and architecture and the possible distractions that this could bring. Recently, experts predicted that virtualisaiton will be a major priority for businesses in 2010. The use of advanced technology in data centres and IT solution savings for firms were among the reasons noted for this forecast.
