Britons are not missing out when it comes to broadband, it has been claimed. Chris Marling, editor of leading broadband comparison website Broadband Genie, said that it is easy to criticise service providers as through the years some have had "highly suspect" advertising and customer service records, which may include less than perfect call centre performances. However, he commented that consumers are not missing out in terms of applications and performances, users of online telecoms may be interested to hear. Mr Marling added that Brits should not expect Britain to always be at the forefront of technological performance. He explained: "While it would of course be great if the UK led the world at everything, we have to be realistic." Mr Grayling made these comments in response to a study by Cisco that placed the UK 25th out of 66 countries for broadband standards, subscribers to VoIP services may be concerned to learn.
