We’ve recently decided to dedicate ourselves to one organisation – Phoenix Futures. They are the leading UK network of drug and alcohol treatment specialists. The charity provides a highly effective range of services in communities, prisons and residential centres that each year help thousands of people transform their lives.
We at Direct Response have what we call ‘The Charity Nutters’ who are a group of dedicated internal volunteers in charge of setting up different events to raise funds. These events can be anything from having a dress-down day at work, to arranging a charity ball.
Together with Phoenix Futures we plan on raising funds by taking part in their events and challenges in the New Year. Phoenix Futures has cycling and running events such as the Flora London Marathon and the Edinburgh Marathon. They also offer overseas expeditions such as the 10 day Inca Trail and the 18 day Everest Base Camp challenge, all raising funds for a very worthy cause.
Direct Response also offers each staff member one day every year dedicated to ‘make a difference’. We use our day whichever way we choose as long it makes this world a better place.
