A major customer care event is taking place in the Midlands next month. On September 23rd and 24th the Call Centre Expo will be held at the NEC in Birmingham. Here, industry members will gather to discuss the sector, with how best to survive the recession set to be a major talking point. InVision Software has revealed that it will give a presentation on how workforce management utilities can aid call centres during the economic downturn. It commented that the use of such tools can enable firms to cut out errors such as those involved with payroll and it also reduces costs thanks to the integration of time and attendance into the workforce management system, call centre bosses may be interested to hear. In other news, lastminute.com has implemented a customer relationship management system which it says allows it to deliver a "five-star service". The travel company stated that this system enables it to record all consumer interactions, as well as supporting agent queries.
