Call centre workers 'could be re-employed'

14/10/2009 09:17:16

Around 200 call centre agents that lost their jobs earlier this year could be re-employed.

TSC was forced to close its customer care facility in Greenock during the summer.

However, the firm, which has been rebranded as HEROtsc, is now hoping to re-open the premises.

This could result in the re-hiring of around 200 call centre workers.

David Turner, chief executive officer of the firm, commented: "Now our next task is to get the centre back up and running as quickly as possible and our staff starting the training programme to learn the skills and knowledge that they will need."

This latest action is able to be taken after the call centre agreed a contract with Sky.

In other news, Ignify has announced an extension to its customer relationship management platform

The firm said that this allows agents to prioritise incidents and resolve these quickly with one mouse click.
